Being the national of a State signatory of United Nation's Convention on the Rights of Child when we see these sort of pictures should we not have questions regarding their
"SURVIVAL " Like issues of development, health facility, security of their identity, registration, name, social security and standard of living etc.
"DEVELOPMENT" Like issues of Family relationing, enjoy parents, Birth registration, right to be part of a family,family care ,Education, information of rest world.
"PROTECTION" Like issue of llicit transfer from one place to another, interference with privacy, family, home, maltreatment, Alternate care, Danger of Disability economic exploitation Protection from illicit use of narcotic drugs sexual exploitation, child prostitution and child pornography, right of social reintegratio issues of Juvenility etc.
"PARTICIPATION" Although the rights attached to this theme are being ignored widely our children mostly don't have right of participation in the matter of their concerns and i do not think these children who are part of this tented world will be ever consulted or heard for what they want.
The situation was worst and pathetic, once when i visited the famous Sibi-Mela in Baluchistan few years back, where in the local circus the young boys were showing different tricks and the small girls were dancing and spectators were just dying to molest or...... them, a very very unsafe, unprotected atmosphere........
Unfortunately, we are a country living with so many so called policies but have not any National Policy regarding children.
Should we not question all this being the national of ISLAMI JAMHOORIYA PAKISTAN???
